We are very fortunate that many Taste guests also donate to 'Feed-a-Senior'.
100% of these funds go directly to meals for the seniors.
Feed-a-Senior will be conducted during the event, but if you would like to donate
beforehand instead of during the event you can do so here.
Also, if you'd like to collect donations from your family and friends, who are not attending, you can donate it through here before the event.
Our goal with Taste is to raise enough money to expand our services beyond the previous year. As you may know, Meals on Wheels of Alameda County providers deliver 530,000 meals to seniors in Alameda County each year. Unfortunately the need for meals grows every day. Your attendance at Taste and your donations help us in the fight against senior hunger.
Thank you in advance.
Meals on Wheels of Alameda County (MOWAC) mobilizes community resources to end hunger among homebound seniors in our county.
Since 1987 MOWAC has provided financial and resource support to five local Meals on Wheels programs so that they can focus on what matters most - providing 530,000 meals annually, conducting thousands of wellness checks and fall prevention education, as well as being there for contact, conversation and smiles.
Meals on Wheels of Alameda County works tirelessly to raise funding and to raise public awareness about this widespread, pervasive and often invisible need. We provide our local programs not only with funds but with strategic assistance, organizational capacity, collaboration, advocacy and resources so that we may serve our homebound, food insecure seniors the best way possible.
